apache hostname lookups on, stats

i set "HostnameLookups On" in the httpd.conf. it is switched off in debian by default. so no hostnames were written into the log files since the suse massacre. not that you wonder why the stats don't show you the country of your visitors.

the stats cronjob is now running again.

i just wrote a small script that adds a new domain to the dns config and reloads bind. :)

nightly backup back in place

every night /hbin/backup_nightly is executed via a symlink in /etc/cron.daily.

matthew, have a look at /usr/local/hosting/conf/backup_nightly_filelist to see if everything important to you is included.

currently it takes about 80 minutes of 98% cpu usage for the backup to be completed and a 1.3 gb big file is created. hum, pretty resource eating the whole thing.

find the backups in /home/backups. i will transfer the one from last night to florian's server now. that needs to be automated somehow.

mailing list tsol-org added

for the travelling school of life. however, i did not manage to make the mailinglist show up anywhere in benn.org/mailman . therefore i left it at mokey.de. a little awkward but i wanted to have the list running.

gsfonts added

imagemagick needs gsfonts to draw text on images.

i did a "apt-get update" before installing gsfonts.
now imagemagick draws on my "wanted" pic on benn.org without problem. debian rocks!! :)
